Respiration RIP

€ 935,35

High quality, low motion artifact inductive respiration sensor that connects to the Biosignalsplux Hub.

This high-performance inductive respiration sensor has been specifically designed having dynamic conditions in mind (e.g. ambulatory sensing). The sensing element is embedded in the chest strap fabric, and spans its full length. Unlike our affordable piezoelectric (PZT) sensor (which only measures the displacement in a localized manner), the RIP option measures the overall displacement of the thorax or abdomen, making it more immune to motion-induced artifacts.

Features:
  • Type: Inductive

synchronous recording of biosignal data and ID-mappable events

This is the perfect accessory for synchronous recording of biosignal data and ID-mappable events. Usage examples include token detection and reaction time analysis in object manipulation tasks, and also differentiated event annotation.

Example: For manual event annotation, it is an improvement to our handheld push button. The push button only provides an on/off behaviour, while with the RFID accessory you can have different tags associated with different events (e.g. starting of the test, stopping the test, presentation of a given stimuli), and more easily encode such events in a channel synchronised with the remaining biosignal data.

Features:
  • Tag Frequency: 125kHz
  • Read Range: 10cm (typical)
  • Consumption: ~70mA
  • Output: Filtered PWM from CRC of tag ID

Peripheral capillary oxygen saturation

The SpO2 (peripheral capillary oxygen saturation) sensor uses two emitting LED’s one in the red region and the other in the infrared region of the spectrum. The reflected light of each one of these LED’s is absorbed by a photodiode that converts this current into a digital value that is sent via SPI. This sensor can be used to estimate the oxygen saturation level on the blood with +/- 2% accuracy compared to a medical sensor.

Features

  • Adjustable current for each LED using the API
  • Subtracts ambient light
  • Pre-conditioned digital output
  • High signal-to-noise ratio
  • Medical-grade raw data output
  • Ready-to-use form factor

Applications

  • Oximetry
  • Heart rate & heart rate variability
  • Life sciences studies
  • Biomedical research
  • Human-Computer Interaction
